Check out the resource centers and services listed below to get you started. This is a great list to keep handy when your student calls on you for help navigating their time at UNM.

 

Academic Communities: The Academic Communities Program for freshmen is designed to help students feel at home on campus and connect with resources, and help build skills for success.
Advisement: Advisors not only serve as an important first step for students but will also help transition them from year to year with their specific needs.
Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS): The Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS) is here for free tutoring in all subjects.
Libraries: The official guide to UNM's five on-campus libraries.
Agora Crisis Center: A free 24-hour hotline and online chat for any crisis including suicidal thoughts, grief, domestic violence, depression, and many other serious issues.
Campus Safety Website: Find information about UNM's emergency preparedness, programs, and resources related to student safety.
Lobo Alerts: LoboAlerts is the University's emergency text messaging system. Sign up for important safety and weather alerts, or notification of any event which may pose a threat to the University’s ability to conduct regular activities. 
Office of Compliance, Ethics, and Equal Opportunity: The University's primary reporting location for issues related to Title IX, Hate/Bias, Civl Rights, Compliance, and ADA.
UNM Police Department (UNMPD): The University's Police force, dedicated to public safety on campus.
Casas Del Rio: An American Campus Communities property on UNM campus that fulfills the freshman residency requirement.
Lobo Village: An American Campus Communities property on UNM South campus that fulfills the Freshman residency requirement.
Residence Life & Student Housing (RLSH): On-campus housing options in Traditional, Suite, and Apartment style living. Fulfills the Freshman residency requirement.
UNM Food: Questions about meal plans? Or about what's available to nosh on campus and when? Answers to these common questions and more about UNM's food options.
Asian American Pacific Islander Resource Center: A campus resource center providing a range of support services and programming for students.
Accessibility Resource Center: Everything you need to know for student accommodations for those with disabilities.
African American Student Services: A campus resource center providing a range of support services and programming for students.

American Indian Student Services: A campus resource center providing a range of support services and programming for students.
El Centro de la Raza: A campus resource center providing a range of support services and programming for students.
LGBTQ Resource Center: One of the confidential/anonymous campus reporting sites for Title IX related issues. The LGBTQRC offers a variety of services to students including counseling, advocacy, and more.
Women's Resource Center: One of the confidential/anonymous campus reporting sites for Title IX related issues. The WRC offers a variety of services to students of any gender, including advocacy, counseling, SNAP Assistance, and more.
Veteran & Military Resource Center: Veteran students can find support navigating their GI bill, get connected with other veterans, and get answers to other service-related questions.

Bookstore: Course materials, spirit wear, electronics, and school supplies all right here on campus.
Bursars Office: Everything you need to know about the student accounting and cashier department.
Financial Aid: Resources about scholarships, FAFSA, Pell Grants, Loans, and other information related to Financial Aid.

Lobo Card: The official UNM ID allows access to meal swipes, campus buildings, and also offers student discounts!
Office of the Registrar: Everything you need to know about grades, transcripts, and semester deadlines.
Parking & Transportation Services (PATS): Everything you need to know about parking passes, shuttle services, and visitor parking.
Pathfinder: Otherwise known as the Student Handbook, the Pathfinder serves as a guide to all UNM students about the various rights and responsibilities of ethical conduct.
Scholarship Office: Tips, policies, procedures, forms, and more around scholarships at UNM.
UNM Alumni Association: Did you graduate from UNM? Once you graduate from the University, you automatically become a member of the Alumni Association. We are a non-dues paying Association so your attendance and completion of studies at UNM grants you access to all the benefits.
Career Services: Guide for parents helping students find their path with majors, careers, jobs, and internships.
Global Education Office (GEO): Interested in going on an international exchange? GEO is the place to go!
Lobo Athletics: The official website for UNM Athletics.
National Student Exchange (NSE): Looking to go on exchange but want to stay closer to home? NSE offers over 170 participating universities in the U.S. and U.S. territories to get a change of scenery and explore life at other institutions.
Student Activities Center: Urge your students to get involved with student organizations, government, campus events, and movies at the Student Union Building Theater!
UNM Jobs: Interested in on-campus student or work-study employment? Check UNM's listings for jobs that work with your course schedule.
College Enrichment Program (CEP): Supports student success throughout a student's life at UNM. CEP runs New Student Orientation (NSO), Scholar Cohort Programs, and specifically supports First-Generation students and under-represented populations.
Dean of Students: Home to the Center for Financial Capability, National Student Exchange Program, Rights & Responsibilities, Short-Term Loan Program, and Lobo Wellbeing. Provides connection to campus and community resources.
LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center: One of the confidential/anonymous campus reporting sites for Title IX related issues. LoboRESPECT offers a variety of services including advocacy, faculty outreach, tuition refund appeals, military withdrawals, the Lobo Food Pantry, and more.
Lobo Food Pantry: A 100% donation-based campus food pantry that strives to offer free groceries, personal hygiene products, and other resources to all UNM students to alleviate food insecurity.
Recreational Services: Rec Services runs Johnson Center and provides programs such as Getaway Adventures, personal training, club sports, and the Lobo Bike Shop.
Student Health & Counseling: Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) is the on-campus go-to for medical appointments, counseling services, and a pharmacy for easy prescription access.
