Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Connect with your student mid‐semester during Parent Day and the “Explore UNM” open house, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007. The event will be held in conjunction with President David Schmidly’s week of inaugural activities.
Schools, colleges, departments, programs and disciplines will be showcased during the open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hands‐on activities, demonstrations, student research, performance, exhibitions and lectures are planned. Morning and afternoon workshops are also being planned for parents and students.
Stay in step with the UNM Marching Band as they proceed from Johnson Field to the duck pond to perform at a festive campus picnic with President and Mrs. Schmidly. Meet at Johnson Field at 11:30 a.m. to learn and rehearse.
In addition to welcoming current UNM students and families, special invitations will be extended to high school students and their families. Families are encouraged to make travel arrangements early as this is Balloon Fiesta weekend in Albuquerque.
Let us know you’re coming! To RSVP and for more information on workshops, hotel accomodations and parking, visit the official Inauguration Web site.
